La zona mineraria è raggiungibile attraverso una strada bianca a s. della SS 387 che collega Muravera a San Vito, dopo pochi km dal primo paese. Il contesto ambientale Alla miniera è connesso un villaggio, tra una folta vegetazione comprendente anche le palme, spesso presenti anche in altri insediamenti minerari come evidente segno distintivo.
