Si lascia la SS 131 all'altezza di Silì, per voltare a d. sulla SS 388 in direzione di Simaxis. Dopo pochi km si volta a s. sulla SP 15 fino a Solarussa. La chiesa di San Gregorio Magno sorge appena fuori dall'abitato, entro un recinto in un sito campestre, ed è preceduta da un grande portale sormontato da campanile a vela.
